Yay!! I have my own couch! Can I afford it though? Thank God for Afterpay!

So, I finally decided on a couch. It’s a classic chesterfield sofa but with a modern touch. The Quinten sofa can be found at World Market for $599. This sofa is definitely a conversation piece. The upholstery is a charcoal gray and honey child it’s soft. It was my second choice to a faux leather couch I found on Wayfair. I believe I made the right choice even if it was a little bit expensive. Quinten even delivered earlier than expected. Thanks babe for helping me unbox it and put on the legs.

I was gifted three stools from my uncle. They are wooden stools with woven rattan seats. The legs were stained a cherry red but I’ve decided to paint the legs to upgrade the look and to match my seamless modern, boho vibe. I’ll post pictures once, I buy more spray paint.

Anyway, DIY’s aren’t boring. I love being creative.

So, I thought I’d share an experience I had when I went in to work this past Friday. As I entered the office, my coworker presented me with a gift my boss’s boss left for the team. They were wrapped in clear gift bags and tied with a bow. Guess what the team received for their hard work?!

(I’m just laughing on the inside.) …. Did you guess… ok ok, I’ll tell you. I got a pack of gum with a note that stated, “ Thanks for going the extra mile”. Just reread what I said because I know it didn’t sink in. (Dying on the inside) I thought does our breath stink. Why would someone give me gum? How does gum equate to my hard work? Heading rolling!!

I love life, it’s so funny! People are ..people. But, I definitely love my objects more especially my new couch. Some might say I’m materialistic but I just love the small things like a vintage inspire sofa. Hardly small.
